Olivia is the oldest of the March sisters. She mentioned that the Circle of Lebanon at Highgate Cemetery would make a good plot area for Edward Grey and Julia goes along with the idea. She also picked the music for Edward’s funeral. Julia let her have her way because she didn’t want to argue with her.

The Earl March claims that Olivia is a perfectionist and this makes dealing with her difficult. She lives in Blessingstoke with her husband and children. Her children often play with Benedick’s children.

Olivia and her family missed Christmas 1888 at Bellmonte Abbey because they all had measles and were quarantined. The children gave the measles to Benedick’s children which resulted in Benedick and Olivia not speaking to each other.
